I'm fairly certain this is not the CHI brand iron you will see in some salons. It's a cheaper knock off. It does the job, but the misspelling on the warning label attached to the cord really makes me worried to use it. It also heats up way more than my more expensive flat iron did and seems to be made of a cheap plastic. I would not purchase this again or recommend it to anyone. In fact, I should have returned this, but I was going on a trip and had no time to review it and/or replace before I left for my trip so I ended up using it and keeping it. Very unsatisfied with this purchase.

I bought this chi for the price, thinking I'd get good quality. The straightener doesnt heat up to more then 30 at most, it isn't a regular chi product. Don't buy for $50 bucks,
